these are from seperate vinyl eps of limited release (1000 copies) of the same name but differing content and released on different labels (anticon and tomlab), so you better get scouring the shops if you ever want to hear this the way it's ment to be.. in full lossless vinyl glory. and trust me, you definitely do.
i really liked the convergence of my alternate tastes of xiu xiu and boc comming together in support of what was to me unknown artists why?. these had me written all over 'em. good vinyl, go buy it if you can find it. :)
This is a truly great album, and my appreciation of it has been made even greater by discovering and listening to alternate versions of some of the tracks here (see: IBOPA and Ten in the Swear Jar). Anyways, I hope you'll listen to it all in sequence, and that you'll find some of the same sense of wonderment at time and people moving through one's life that I did. Nieces Pieces and I Love the Valley, Oh! are personal favorites, but really I love the entire album..
(audio is in "collection" format because Vox's add audio option doesn't let me select all of the tracks that make up the album all together at the same time.. why is there no list-view available? dumbasses)
tomlab (germany) cover:
And then there's the limited vinyl:

(yeah, I *definitely* want this. gimme gimme..)
For some reason, VOX refused to end the upload of these tracks properly so I was forced to upload each one individually. So yeah, I wanted to share this that much.. :D
And just because I feel like sharing a little more today, here's a couple choice covers by Xiu Xiu (Fast Car is better than the original imo, and I saw that black lesbian momma live open for The Cowboy Junkies many many moons ago even; and Ceremony is.. god damn ..I never thought a cover could even come close to the feeling or impact of the original New Order track, but this is a truly excellent cover):
actually melted the connections of the capacitors next to the cpu, and some of the secondary chips too. good times.
