Feel free to jam out with your clam out.
Hope you have a good one. :)
VOX decided to start timing-out on my uploads over the weekend, so I wasn't able to post all the Canadian artists and tracks I had planned, but I'll post a few others as time allows this week..
The Hip are the biggest Canadian band of my generation (shuddup about Nickelback, they suck). The kids before me and mine had Rush, and I'm sure the emo kids will have Pendulum or something.. git off mah lawn!
There's so many great greats from the Hip I could post, but after thinking for a minute I decided upon the duo here because they're both about specific Canadian geographies, and the stories revolving around them (I could have as easily posted Wheat Kings, or a Lonely End of the Rink, etc). I've seen the Hip play twice in my life, and was very saddened to hear their current tour is to be their last, atleast until the inevidable come-back in 5-10 years (or so I hope, World Container was a good album with some solid tracks, atleast they're leaving on another high note). I've posted World Container and a couple other Hip albums on my vox, and obviously I encourage you to check 'em out.. I've never understood why they never really broke-through in America, but I'm glad for strictly selfish reasons.. it ment a lot more opportunity to see 'em here at home

If there's any interest from KLF-heads I used to own The Justified Ancients Of Mu Mu - 1987 What The Fuck Is Going On? (Cauty & Drummond's first full-length, which was recalled due to copyright issues and all recalled copies were burnt) and still have a lossless backup, but as it's not very good I'll only post it if there's an expressed interest. However, I will try to remember to post Chill Out this coming month as it's one of my favorite ambient releases of all time, up there with Brian Eno's Music for Airports (which you'll hear echos of in "What Goes On (Ambient Mix 3)" from Lost Sounds of Mu vol. 1), and we can all use a little chill music on a warm summer eve..
Label: Awareness Records
Catalog#: AWARE1CD
Format: CD
Country: USA
Released: 1993 (Recorded on August 8, 1968)
Genre: Rock
Style: Folk Rock
Notes: This was Charlie's first album, recorded before the murders which brought him his fame. He wasn't much of a singer, but this album has been highly sampled by goth rockers (FLA, Manson, etc) and covered by alot of artists (see the wiki if you're really interested). According to California law, all artist-royalties from this recording go to the families of Manson's victims..

Vox has been a real hag to upload to this week, may not make quota for the month it's so annoying. Anyways, hope you enjoy. Sitting on three other Peel Sessions I'd like to upload, but we'll see how it goes..
And yes, that layout up there is all Vox's fault for refusing to allow me to add more than 10 media items to a post at once.. don't blame me it looks like shite, I just post here man.
